Policy
Termination and Severance Policy
Summary
Eligibility
This policy is for you, our contractors, aligning with the terms of your individual agreements. It's a guide for both sides on navigating termination and severance, ensuring clarity and fairness without changing your independent contractor status.
This policy does not apply to freelancers.
Types of Termination
- Voluntary Termination: You've got the freedom to end your contract for personal reasons or new opportunities. We respect your choice to move on.
- Involuntary Termination: Sometimes, we have to make tough decisions based on specific criteria like performance or project needs. We promise to handle it with professionalism and respect.
Notice
- Period: A heads-up is needed from both sides. Contractors should give a 30-day written notice, while Trio's notice period will match your agreement terms.
- Method: All notices should be in writing via email to keep things clear and documented.
Early Termination
- Handling: We understand life can throw curveballs, allowing for early termination requests. Whether it's voluntary or Trio-initiated, we ensure fairness, including compensation for the notice period.
Exit Procedures
- Notification and Interviews: Whether you're moving on or we're parting ways, clear communication is key. Exit interviews are valuable for both personal and professional growth, providing an opportunity to address any concerns related to security and compliance.
- Task Wrap-up and Property Return: Ensure a smooth handover of pending tasks and return any Trio property, following our straightforward guidelines.
Final Compensation
- Outstanding Payments: You'll be compensated for all your hard work up until and during the notice period, processed in the next pay cycle.
