<aside> 💡 Trio's perks represent a gesture of appreciation to our contractors, and to enhance their overall work experience. These perks are offered without altering the independent contractor status, reinforcing our commitment to recognizing and valuing the contributions of Trio independent contractors.
The Paid Time Off (PTO) represents a financial perk offered to our contractors since they are nothing more than compensated breaks for team members during their work on Trio's project. This policy has the objective of unraveling all the specificities of this incentive, from its types to notification guidelines.

The Paid Time Off policy applies solely to currently active independent contractors. This eligibility criteria aligns with the terms and conditions specified in the independent contractor agreement.
Note that freelancers are not eligible to avail themselves of the incentives outlined in this policy.
It's important to emphasize that the introduction of this policy does not change the independent contractor status of our contractors with Trio. Instead, it functions purely as an incentive from the company, aimed at recognizing and rewarding the efforts of our contractors.
All Trio Paid Time Offs referred to in this policy are granted to the contractors annually and are synchronized with the contractor's service year at Trio. This means that each contractor receives a fresh allocation of Paid Time Off at the beginning of their service year, and upon completing each year of uninterrupted service, their entitlement to these valuable perks is automatically renewed.
This intentional approach underscores our commitment to recognizing and appreciating the ongoing contributions of our contractors, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership with Trio.
This section outlines the various types of Paid Time Off (PTO) available to independent contractors at Trio and its specificities. This policy recognizes the diverse needs of contractors and acknowledges the flexibility in pausing the project when needed.
At Trio, we understand that life is dynamic and occasionally demands dedicated personal time. Our policy recognizes the importance of attending to personal matters. Whether it's pursuing personal development, addressing unexpected life events, or simply taking a break to recharge, contractors are afforded the flexibility to request a PTO for personal reasons.
We believe that a balanced work-life integration is key, and the Personal Time Off is designed to support independent contractors in achieving just that.
For every one (1) year of uninterrupted service at Trio, full-time independent contractors are entitled to a maximum of one hundred eighty-four (184) hours or twenty-three (23) business days of paid Personal Time Off. For part-time independent contractors, this entitlement is halved, amounting to one ninety-two (92) hours, or twelve (12) business days of paid Personal Time Off. Contractors are empowered to schedule these hours or days as they see fit, in consultation with their direct leader, to ensure their absence does not adversely affect ongoing projects.
Before the completion of one year of service, the allocation of Paid Time Off for contractors will be proportional to the hours already worked at Trio.
