There are a few scenarios in which you might wish to offboard an engineer or downsize your team.

Contract Expiration

Once your contract with Trio reaches its end, you can choose whether to renew or not. In the event that you decide to let the contract expire, you must let us know four weeks in advance that you do not wish to keep the engineer(s).

Downsizing

If you have more than one Trio engineer on your team and wish to downsize, you must let us know four weeks in advance that you are planning on downsizing your team.

For teams over 5 developers, you must give 2 months’ notice to Trio to offboard engineers.

Discount Package Fee

If you signed a contract to hire 2 or more engineers for 6 months and choose to relinquish a developer before the end of the contract. You will have to pay the full price minus the discounted price for the months that the engineer worked.

Termination By Misconduct

In the unfortunate event that our engineer does not perform to our standards and your expectations, or engages in conduct that violates your company policies, you must let us know immediately with details on their infractions and how you wish to proceed.

We understand that no one is perfect and that miscommunication can occur. We ask that you do your best to communicate with our engineers and expose them to your company policies during the onboarding process so that they don’t accidentally make any mistakes.

Most small situations can be resolved between you and the engineer and we encourage that you are open about the line between what’s small and severe. In the case the issue can’t be resolved, Trio can replace the engineer right away.

Absorbing Trio Engineers

There might be some cases where you want to make your Trio engineer an internal member of your team.

To compensate for our efforts in sourcing, recruiting, screening, training, and replacing the engineer, we charge a conversion fee which can be found in your agreement.

In order to absorb an engineer, you may contact us with a request and we will check with the engineer. Trio engineers have the right to accept or decline your request.
